Farmland:
Public footpaths from Newton Harcourt to Glen Gorse Golf Course and from Wistow to Coal Pit Lane and Fleckney have sufficient hedgerows to be attractive to wildlife whilst open field species (including Skylark, Yellowhammer and Yellow Wagtail), whilst reduced in numbers, can still be seen from these paths. The Wistow Maze site is good for small birds, especially
at the end of the season and the pasture fields by the R Sence often hold good numbers of feeding "crows", thrushes and starlings.
